Abstract

Chicago's present transportation network contains a series of radical routes that converge slightly to the west of the central business district. Studies were conducted to determine how joint development concepts could be specifically applied to the proposed alignment. The Study present: origins of the Cross-town the corridor concept the selecting the alignment, the recommended alignment the community the new relocation provisions, the cross-town design process, cross-town design elements and visual design standards.
