Abstract
Using TRL’s independent and impartial Child Seat Rating Scheme and testing protocols, this project demonstrated the safety and usability performance of a selection of child car seats. These demonstration tests indicated that some cheaper seats are likely to achieve higher star ratings than more expensive models. Consumers, manufacturers and retailers will all benefit from wide take-up of the scheme. (Author/publisher)
