Child safety on the road update (1993-1996).

This issue of Current Topics in Transport includes over 70 abstracts of some of the published literature (reports, conference papers, books and journal articles) on child safety on the road. Topics include road safety education, cycle training schemes, cycle helmet use, children's traffic clubs, the journey to school, prevention of accidents to child pedestrians, and collision injuries. The effect of seat belt restraint on child safety is covered in Current Topics in Transport 44.1, entitled In-car safety: children update (1992-1995). These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 1993 and 1996. Much of the relevant English language literature the relevant English language literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Road Research Documentation (IRRD) database. The previous edition of this title, CT45, covered abstracts added to the database between 1988-1993.
