Abstract

Special problems for children in motor vehicles- lap travel, hazards in the passenger compartment etc - are described. It is shown what happens to unrestrained children in a crash. The various ways children can be better protected in motor vehicles are examined. State laws and federal regulations concerning child restraints are described.
