Children in injury level accidents

Abstract

Field accident data review injury and accident experiences to children as occupants in injury level passenger car collisions. The first section deals with general characteristics. The second section compares and analyses injury risks associated with restraint status, child weight, various seating positions, etc. The third section recommends where children should sit and how they should be restrained for increased safety. The fourth section compares injury experiences of children to that of adults.
