Abstract

Efforts to obtain citizen participation in the planning process in the Twin City metropolitan area are reported and commented. Special attention is focused on the regional transportation process. The activities are described of the 14-member metropolitan area council which serve as the co-ordinating and planning agency for a 7-country area. The involvement of a citizen group in a consultant study of various routes on alternatives in a particular corridor is described.
