Abstract

A project is described which was conducted to measure the effectiveness of citizen's band (CB) radio use by state police as a means to improve highway safety. It was concluded that CB radio, as operated under the present Federal Communications Commission regulatory structure, is a valuable assist to both the motorist or citizen seeking aid and the public safety agencies providing that aid.
