Abstract
In the eTampere venture, RELab will assume a central role directing various operations. The operation of RELab is divided into three parts that support each other: evaluation and testing, future analysis, and research and demonstrations. RELab is managed by VTT Automation. Its research facilities will be the VTT office building, libraries, block of houses, and the entire town being equipped with the latest information technology (IT). The environment offers unique possibilities for demonstration, evaluation, and testing wireless and IT based products, services and applications for domestic and foreign companies and societies.
