Abstract

Adult pedestrians injured by cars and treated at an orthopaedic department were studied. Medical records and police reports were used to analyse the accidents and to correlate the injuries to the impact areas of the vehicles. Special interest was focussed on such long term effect of the injuries to the legs caused by the impact of the bumper.
