Abstract

In this report, a model of driver behaviour in the driver-vehicle-road system is described which has been derived from psychological findings on information processing and pattern recognition. Introducing fuzzy sets for the model it becomes possible to consider also the vagueness of percepting and processing the input signals by the driver model shows a high conformity with measured eye- and steering movements obtained in driving simulator experiments.
