Abstract

This paper describes the objectives of the CORVETTE project as part of the funding line Trans-European Networks - Transport (TEN-T). The CORVETTE partner regions are Austria, Bavaria, Switzerland and North-East Italy. The paper covers the milestones like the implementation of cross border RDS-TMC service and final results of the study for international traffic management as well as implementation of sophisticated network control services. The paper also touches briefly on other ITS items in the Alpine area like the improvement of Traffic Information Centres (TIC) and Traffic Control Centres (TCC) in the Alpine Area and the ways TICs are communicating on the international level and advanced traveller information services.
