Abstract

The here reported study aimes to describe the beliefs on and attitudes towards five public transport systems of groups of persons who differ with regard to the frequency of public transport use, car availability, and a number of socio- economic characteristics. A second purpose of the study was to model public transport, car and bicycle use, with specific attention to cognitive variables such as beliefs, attitudes, preferences and intentions, but also to objective characteristics of transport systems ( such as travel time, time to travel to the public transport stop). This is a summary report of B 28586.
