Abstract

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is just ready for production. World-wide technicians, marketing experts, physiologists, HMI experts and last but not least vehicle end users discuss pros and cons of driver assistance systems, with reference to comfort or safety impact. This short presentation tries to give an overview about the impacts of driver expectations, system layout and philosophy as well as the impact on traffic.
