Abstract

This guide provides contractors with the information and tools they need to enhance compliance with industry best practices, while also helping them perform their work on or near the Colorado public roadways in a safer manner. The guide focuses on reducing accidental vehicle intrusion into roadway work zones; reducing worker and public accidents, injuries, and deaths; ensuring contractor compliance; educating the public; and reducing construction impacts on mobility and safety. It provides guidance on program elements, implementation and best practices, monitoring compliance, and technical resources pertaining to setting up and maintaining work zones. (Author/publisher)
