Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the value of coloured pavement material in guiding traffic through intersections. Colouring the pavement did not significantly change the velocity patterns through the intersection. Also, the effectiveness of the coloured pavement is lost at night. In fact, the colour is barely visible under the light from vehicles.
