Colour defective vision and the recognition of aviation colour signal light flashes.

Abstract

Subjects of varying type and degree of colour deficiency were tested on a battery of colour tests. Correlations with a practical test of ability of subjects to discriminate aviation signal red, white and green were obtained. "Results generally indicated that the Farnsworth Lantern was a superior predictor of performance on the practical test.
