Abstract

The ADEPT III project is a consortium of public transport operators who have joined their efforts to validate and evaluate available contact/contactless interface solutions in their real production systems with real users. The objective is to support system operators in their strategic decisions and choice of technology. This paper describes the project and summarises its results and findings so far. The ADEPT III project is primarily funded by the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications in partnership with the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) in the UK.
