Abstract

The aim of this study was to made an inventory of factors which cause injuries by wearing seat belts in case of accidents. An indication is made of their frequencies, their relation with the injuries and the measures which could be taken to avoid their invention. Although the safety belts protect little in side or rear impacts, all kinds of impacts are studied. The analysis of these impacts shows some evidential measures for protection in rear impacts, but in this study only frontal accidents are analyzed for 420 cases.
