Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of some important aspects of forensic human factors analysis of commercial motor vehicle collisions. It is intended to be useful to human factors/ergonomics and safety professionals, defense and plaintiffs' lawyers, judges, forensic and paralegal professionals, accident investigators, students, government officials, consultants, motor carriers, and commercial drivers. The scope of the chapter is intended to be broad, and therefore, the amount of detail is necessarily limited. However, numerous references are cited that provide additional detail.
