Abstract
This article presents a survey of community programs in California that are addressing the mobility needs of older residents and that provide them alternatives to driving. Among the types of programs are taxi vouchers, dial-a-ride services, volunteer escorts and drivers, shuttles, peer-to-peer workshops on alternative modes, and shopping shuttles.
