Abstract

Statewide transportation studies undertaken by Iowa, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Connecticut and California are reviewed. For each study the procedures, strong points and limitations are described. The studies are compared and rated as to the amount of effort expended in study design, data collection and design, model development, forecasting, testing of alternatives, and implementation.
