Abstract

This article summarizes the finding from a study of illumination and accidents in Syracuse, New York, Night-day ratios as well as costs of the accidents were calculated for one year (1967) and related to the illumination of each study section. The methodology developed during the project is felt to represent a major contribution to the techniques in making such studies.
