Abstract

At present, numerous restraint systems for children applied in vehicles are in general considered for the use on the back seats. Up to now only impact tests with dummies and animals have been carried out. In this paper not only dummies but also cadavers were tested and the results of these tests are described. Child cadaver and child dummy kinematic is similar during the frontal impact. Child cadaver tests are necessary for the investigation of the tolerance limit.
