Abstract

The structures and predictive capabilities of disaggregate and aggregate mode-choice models. It is concluded that the disaggregate models provide a better statistical explanation of mode-choice behaviour and have extremely desirable characteristics. A serious effort should be made to incorporate disaggregate models into the transportation planning process.
