Comparison of the safety records of British railways and the highways of Britain.

Abstract

The officially reported British Railways and highway casualties are compared. The final comparison shows that persons on British Railways are twice as likely to suffer fatal or serious injury as persons on the highway system and five times as likely to suffer moderate injury.
