Abstract

The practical considerations in implementing different techniques for calibrating doubly constrained gravity type models with an exponential cost function are compared. The comparisons are carried out under the headings of speed, accuracy; computer storage required and ease of implementation. Three techniques are initially considered. Various modifications and improvements to these methods are suggested and the most efficient versions of each are compared.
