Abstract

In this paper an attempt is made to describe one of the ways the Nordic countries cooperate in research programs on traffic accidents. A group of experts was formed and after several meetings they reached an agreement on how one country's data on traffic accidents can be compared with the other countries. The translation key was built on reported traffic accidents from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The Nordic work shows that it is possible to transfer most of the data. Examples show the use of this translation keys or tables.
