Abstract

This paper discusses the speed level of passenger cars in response to variable message sign displays including speed limits and informative pictograms. To account for the confounding influence of traffic volume, speed level measurements were compared to the expected speed by regression analysis. This comparison illustrates the relative compliance with speed limits. (A)
