Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2051 includes 11 papers that explore polyphosphoric acid-modified asphalts, biofuel coproducts for performance enhancement of asphalt binders, field aging of unmodified asphalt binder, and asphalt mixes containing expanded clay aggregate. This issue of the TRR also examines mineral filler effects on viscosity of asphalt mastic and on mixing and compaction temperatures of asphalt mixtures, effect of ultrafine particles on mastics and asphalt concretes, hot-mix asphalt containing hydrated lime, stone matrix asphalt mixtures containing reclaimed asphalt pavement, incorporating reclaimed asphalt pavement in warm-mix asphalt, Sasobit and Aspha-Min effect on wettability and adhesion of asphalt binders and aggregates, and effect of reclaimed asphalt pavement and binder grade on asphalt mixtures.
