Abstract

China is a large developing country, and the transport system is holding back economic development. In super-urban, the problems of traffic and transport are very serious. The solution depends on planning and coordination of comprehensive transport hubs (CTH) and its intelligent management (IM). Shanghai is the most important and typical CTH in China. Project CTHIMS has great value to the theory, method, technology and practice of ITS on the CTH level. The development of CTHIMS needs a united organization for its planning, development and implementation. In this paper, a rough scheme of the integrated management of CTH is described, and a framework of the reference model, information architecture, functional architecture and data communication architecture is presented for further discussion.
