Abstract

The practical implication of this study is that more often than not the design task stops as soon as an acceptable solution has been found. This research was aimed at producing:- A facility to create and modify interactively the geometry of a junction and to provide some indication of its costs;- A facility to estimate the performance of the layout;- A design cycle or framework for optimisation of the layout; and - A facility to produce setting- out drawings.
