Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of computer based training (cbt) programs used in preparation for the German theoretical driving exam. A descriptive review on current cbt programs is given and they are compared regarding several criteria. The survey arrives at the conclusion that further research is needed on the effects of computer based training compared to traditional exam preparation, also the full potential of cbt for learning drivers is not yet tapped.
