Computer displays for the traffic engineer

Abstract

This paper describes the application of visual display techniques generated by a digital computer to the problem of evaluating alternative traffic –engineering improvements in congested urban networks. Maps with overlays of volumes, speeds along streeds, delays etc., can be called for form the display console and shown instanteously by the cumputer simulation.
