Abstract

A computer program is given for the generation of load/shortening relationships for simply supported steel plates subject to uniaxial compressions. The plate variables are bread to thickness ratios (20-80), yield stresses and values of initial imperfection and residual stress. The unloaded edges may be free to pull in or constrained to remain straight.
