Abstract

The article describes some current research that has led to the development of advanced simulation tools for studying the braking and steering of trucks and articulated vehicles. The principal technical subjects discussed are heavy-vehicle suspension dynamics, air-brake system operation, laboratory measurements of vehicle components, vehicle performance tests, and simulation validation.
