Abstract

A study was conducted to develop and implement a compterized highway traffic information system (CHTIS) for use in allocating police traffic services. The study shows that the system is a highly useful operational tool for traffic law enforcement agencies. The study recommends 1)the establishment of a continuing traffic resource allocation utilizing a CHTIS and 2)the initiation of a program to analyze the data base made available by the system.
