Abstract

The construction of a concept reference model that clarifies the position of communication systems used in ITS is described. Several communication systems have been studied that will realize applications conceived in this field, but it is necessary to establish and clarify a study model that defines the relationship between applications and systems when communication standardization is promoted. This concept reference model clarifies the relationship between ITS applications and communication systems, based on the premise that ITS applications share information among vehicles and a fixed infrastructure. It then becomes possible to position ITS communication to be developed in the future, such as vehicle to roadside to vehicle communication. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
