Abstract

It is stated that the pay-off driver education is under challenge and that evidence of substantial pay off in any crash-prevention activity is extremely difficult to obtain. Some factors contributing to error variance in driver education research are the statistical rarity of the accident event, personal differences among test subjects and the almost impossible task of rigorous estimation of exposure to risk.
