Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2164 includes 17 papers that explore engineered cementitious composites, time of set for concrete mix in cold weather, grid types used to strengthen reinforced concrete panels, rice husk ash as supplementary cementitious material, cement kiln dust-activated fly ash binder, and titanium dioxide photocatalyst coating for concrete pavement. This issue of the TRR also examines the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials T336-09 coefficient of thermal expansion test method, measuring coefficient of thermal expansion of concrete, porous concrete pavements, end-result specifications for concrete, pervious concrete overlay, freeze-thaw durability of pervious concrete, resistance of pervious concrete to deicing chemicals, maturity method for prediction of concrete's resistance to chloride ion penetration, concrete containing recycled concrete aggregate, cracking tendency of bridge deck concrete, and recycled concrete aggregate in pervious concrete pavement.
