Abstract

This issue consists of 14 papers that explore heat of hydration for cement, moisture transport and deformations in jointed plain concrete pavement, calibrating the mortar flow table, effects of roadway contaminants on titanium dioxide photodegradation of nitrogen oxides, and permeability and mechanical properties of nanomodified porous concrete. It also examines improving quality assurance and quality control of concrete, characterization of interface bond of ultra-high-performance concrete bridge deck overlays, internal frost damage of concrete, mechanical properties of ultra-high-strength mortars, alkali–silica reaction in concrete pavements, reducing cement in concrete without reducing quality, thermophysical optimization of specialized concrete pavement materials, and cyclic heat island impacts on concrete pavement systems.
