Abstract

This publication consists of 21 papers that explore chemical admixtures, calcium hydroxide in hydrated pastes and mortars, predicting cement-admixture incompatibilities, surface resistivity measurements for quality assurance and acceptance, precision statement for concrete surface resistivity, the durability of concrete made with recycled concrete aggregates, drying shrinkage behavior of ternary blends, soy methyl esters, deicing salt solutions effects on pavement concretes, and freeze-thaw durability and salt scaling resistance of composite pavements. This issue of the TRR also examines slag cement performance in hydraulic cement concrete, rapid-setting cementitious material, reducing clinker content of cement, recycled concrete aggregate effect on mix design of structural concrete, reducing curing requirements for pervious concrete, concrete incorporating stone industry waste, concretes modified with coarse limestone powder, using limestone to reduce set retardation in high-volume fly ash mixtures, and photocatalytic concrete pavement.
