Abstract

Since some years the use of slip formed concrete barriers is increasing. The road regulation prescribes concrete median barrier use on urban and suburban highways and on cases of restricted circulation conditions. At the present, Transpor- tation Ministry provides for the extension on all the highways with limited speed and the new 2x2 lanes roads with narrow median width. The experimentations carried out in France on these devices called DBA (Median width) or GBA (roadside) is described and to analyse their behaviour in real spot in order to contribute to the development use rules.
