Abstract

This paper considers the use of recycled pavement materials as aggregate in new or rehabilitated pavement. The authors tested admixtures containing 100% recycled material for strength, air content, durability and skid resistance. The properties were tested in fresh concrete and one year after construction. It was concluded that recycled concrete could be used as total aggregate content in new pavement. It requires a higher water/cement ratio and presents satisfactory long term behaviour.
