Abstract

Recent improvements promise to realize the vision of a concrete that is crack-free and watertight, requires less construction time, offers a service life of 100 years, improves the versatility of the infrastructure, and promotes sustainable development. This article reviews several recent accomplishments and emerging technologies that will assist in achieving this vision.
