At the conference "Road Safety Europe" held in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, September 21-23, 1998, one of the themes was "Influencing driver's values, attitudes, knowledge and skills". Four of the papers presented within this framework were: Importing northern driving style in southern countries, in the frame of Euro impact (Sardi, P.); Developing an effective public education strategy for road safety based on successful experience in Australia (Cameron, M. and Harrison, W.); Inverted licencing - a powerful tool for responsible behaviour (Klyve, L.); The evaluation of focused police enforcement in Israel: some results (Hakkert, A., Gitelman, V., Cohen, A., Doveh, E. and Umansky, T.).
