Abstract

The central theme of this paper has been the overwhelming importance of lane configuration as a weaving design/analysis parameter. Data has been analyzed to show the effect of this element on the utilization of roadway width by weaving vehicles, particulary how poor design of this factor may restrict weaving vehicles to small portions of the roadway.
