Abstract

Traffic Conflict Techniques have been developed in a number of countries since the end of the sixties.Their success as indirect tools for traffic safety assessment has been variable. The calibration exercise has cleared the way for better transfer of information and generalization of results from individual countries. This is important when tackling methodological issues such as validation of conflict techniques.
