Abstract

Work on traffic conflict technique carried out at Onser since 1973 is taken as the basis for this study which take also into account other factors which determine the severity of individual conflicts, such as speed, manoeuvres and type of road users involved. Although this conflict technique is primarily designed for evaluation studies and for comparisons between various locations in terms of risk, it can also be used in safety diagnoses on hazardous locations.
