Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to develop a set of planning implications for the locations, design, and service of transit provided at fringe parking facilities. These implications were developed through a detailed examination of five fringe parking programs currently in operation in the U.S. The paper synthesizes the experience acquired from these five case studies and utilizes this experience to delineate the implications for the development of future fringe parking facilities.
