Abstract

There has been a surprising scarcity of assembled information on the subject of concrete consolidation. This situation has become more acute due to factors such as new design concepts, changes in equipment and methods of construction, and increased use of deicing agents. This report of the Transportation Research Board describes and evaluates current procedures for consolidation of concrete for pavements, bridge decks, and overlays. Research needs are identified. /Author/.
